Jimmy Butler BLASTED as biggest a**hole for tantrums while gambling at Poker table

Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler‘s first appearance on Hustler Casino Live did not go well, according to co-owner Nick Vertucci. Vertucci in a viral video called Butler the “biggest a**hole” he’s met, while he cited his rude behavior towards everyone during the “Legends Of The Felt” tournament.

Vertucci explained that Jimmy Butler got confused by the game format and became upset, where he then made a scene that led to Vertucci telling him to get his own money and walking away. He also accused Butler of being a fake, as he claimed that a viral video of him handing out money to fans was staged.

He got into an argument with someone else and he was just being an a**hole. Got up and said, 'f**k this.' It gets better.-- He has met me and he knows I'm one of the owners, so I come up and do this [hand touch on arm] and say, 'Hey Jimmy, listen, is there anything I can do for you?' and he says, 'Yeah, the first thing is to get your hand off my f**king arm.'
Nick Vertucci said on Clubs Poker livestream

Butler’s behavior towards a young fan at the event was also criticized by Vertucci, who said he was unkind and only reluctantly agreed to meet the fan. These incidents, which also included a viral moment with Ryan Garcia, led Vertucci to declare that Butler is not welcome back on his show.

I don't care how many viewers he brings, I don't want him back.
Nick Vertucci added

The controversy has sparked interest in whether Butler will respond to Vertucci’s claims. Butler’s behavior on the show, as described by Vertucci, would be seen as unacceptable and could harm his public image.

Jimmy Butler plans to test free agency in 2025, regardless of next season’s team

Jimmy Butler intends to test the free-agent market in 2025, regardless of where he plays next season, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. This decision comes despite recent reports suggesting Butler plans to remain with the Miami Heat amid trade rumors.

Butler’s decision may attract interest from several teams, including the Golden State Warriors and Philadelphia 76ers, who have already been linked to the star forward. The Heat, however, seem hesitant to offer Butler an extension, with team president Pat Riley citing concerns about committing significant resources to a player who has struggled with availability.

Butler has two years remaining on his current contract, but he can opt out of his $52.4 million player option after the 2024-25 season and his value to the Heat is undeniable, as he averaged 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game on impressive shooting splits during the 2023-24 season. However, his injury history and limited game availability may impact his market value in 2025.
