Some complained that theirs got stuck at 25%, mine didn’t do that.
Tips for Bio Center
After some confusing fails trying to figure out how to handle the bio center, I thought I’d share.
This is that last remaining “question mark” on the top left of the tech tree. It is acquired by accepting unification with the population of Remus, and then finding the three items in the three temples.
Wait until all your batteries are built before clicking on the “Initiate Adaptation” button. Otherwise, all of your crew become transformed, nobody is working, the few that remain are overworked, and whether the hull fails or trust fails, you’re doomed. If the batteries are already in place, you’re fine, because the adaptation will happen faster than these other systems can fail.Since you’re going the Remus route instead of Romulus, you don’t need colonists any more. Save the Electronics, and scrap the Colonist Training center for alloy. The Remus route is very heavy on alloy – I even built a third Steel Mill and could barely keep up (Bioengineering Center and so many batteries… lots of alloy!). You also don’t need to unthaw cryopods. Scrap as much as you can to get more alloy – dismantle your Cryonic Center(s). The bio. center simply “adapts” everyone, no matter what the number. Dismantling also opens up more tile space for batteries for the Piranesi matter. It produces enormous amounts of Waste – I have no idea why, it seems to have no effect on anything. There’s an upgrade under the biocenter on the tech tree to lower the Waste. But who cares if there’s more or less? Both the Romulus and Remus endings are enjoyable. This game is great, cheers to the designers.
