Idaho Fish and Game seeks grouse hunters' help in research, asks for wing donations

Publish date: 2024-07-19

Grouse hunting season is all month, and Idaho Fish and Game is asking hunters to donate a wing to help with research.

The Idaho Fish and Game asks Grouse hunters to donate a wing from their harvested birds with the harvest date and location in designated wing donation barrels.

The barrels have been placed in high-traffic hunting areas, or hunters can take the wings to their regional office.

The donated wings help Fish and Game with research on sex, age, brood success, hatch timing and sex ratios and monitor the Idaho grouse population.
