Eagle Fun Days return: Family activities, parades, and fireworks light up July 7-8
Eagle, ID (CBS2) — The Eagle Fun Days are just around the corner, July 7 and 8.
On Friday, July 7, the fun starts at Guerber Park from 5 - 8 pm for the Family Fun Night, a free event for the whole family, this will be an alcohol-free event. There will be bounce houses, photo booths, food trucks, a dunk tank, and more. There will also be a ladder truck from the Eagle Fire Department spraying water for a fun way to cool off.
You can also join the Eagle Chamber of Commerce and Old State Saloon at Heritage Park for Eagle Fun Night from 6:00 -10 pm on July 7 for food trucks, wine/beer and seltzers, a Raffle, a surf machine, interactive booths, and more.
At 10:20 pm on July 7, there will be Fireworks at Eagle Island State Park. There will not be an entrance fee after 8 pm and parking is first-come, first-served.
The fun continues on Saturday, July 8 with the Eagle Fun Run at 9 am at Merrill Park. Racers will get a complimentary breakfast thanks to the Eagle Fire Department, there will also be prizes for the first three male and female race winners of both the 5k and 10k races.
Opening Ceremonies will take place at 11 am on July 8 in downtown Eagle followed by Vendors and live music. The Classic Car Show will start a 12 pm at Creekside Bible Church and runs until 3 pm.
The Wet and Wild Parade will start at 1 pm starting at Old State and Plaza Drive. There are two phases to the parade, the first phase is the dry phase and attendees are asked not to spray during this time, the second phase is marked with a banner and attendees are encouraged to partake in the wet phase of the parade by filling their squirt guns and other water toys with water and soak those that are in the parade.
There will be a Cornhole tournament at 3 pm in Downtown Eagle, and the Rocky Mountain Oyster Feed is back at 5 pm at Merrill Park. Adults are $30 and kids 13 and under are $15.
The TIPTOW 5th annual Firetruck Pull is at 7:30 pm at the corner of State Street and Stierman Way where teams of first responders will see who has the fastest time pulling a fire engine 100 feet to raise money for the Trauma Intervention Program.
To wrap everything up the Rotary Ball Drop will take place at Merrill Park at 7:30 pm.
