Bravin it with Bryan and Kelsey: Ice hockey
Kory Scoran spent part of five seasons with the Idaho Steelheads.
Now he’s still lacing up the skates in Boise, but as the hockey coordinator at Idaho IceWorld.
“I love it, I love it,” Scoran said.
So Scoran and fellow teachers Cassie and Margaux were tasked with getting KBOI 2News morning anchors Kelsey Anderson and Bryan Levin not only into all the proper gear, but also on the ice during one of their adult beginners classes at the rink.
“We want you out of your comfort zone but not in the panic zone,” Scoran told them.
The two have gone ice skating before but this was uncharted territory.
After getting a little more comfortable skating it was already time to move onto puck handling.
“Look at the hands on these two,” Scoran said while watching over the pair.
That led to some quick shooting tips and a chance to score on an unguarded mini net.
They both still missed their first shots.
Eventually Kelsey and Bryan were able to put the puck in the back of the net and that meant only one thing was left to do.
Join the rest of the class in some three-on-three games.
Before you know it, Kelsey was able to score a goal – maybe with the help of the goalie.
That same goalie was mysteriously slow to stop a puck that Bryan was able to put in as well.
While it was the anchors first time going at it on the ice, it hopefully won’t be their last.
