Boise ranks as one of America's best places to live according to Livability report

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — According to a report from Livability, Boise is one of the best places to live in America.

The report says, "Boise has a population of nearly 250,000 with a diverse mix of tech, agribusiness and manufacturing companies with an educated workforce, making the city a good place for business. Boise also ranks high for its commitment to the environment. It is nicknamed the 'City of Trees,' and local leaders are aiming to be carbon neutral by 2050."

Boise also ranked high in amenities, education, health, safety, housing and cost of living and transportation.

The report adds the Treefort Music Fest makes Boise special and brings over 700 cultural and artistic events to the downtown area. Riding bikes on the Boise River Greenbelt is another fun activity the city offers.
